UFC star ‘Thug’ Rose Namajunas has pulled out of her fight against Jessica Andrade at UFC 249 in the latest blow to the event, according to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte. Namajunas was set to face off against Andrade for the second time after their UFC 237 matchup.

UFC 249 is still without an official location, despite Dana White confirming he has booked an arena.

And now, it is without a co-main event.

On Wednesday night, news broke that Namajunas had withdrawn from the fight against Brazilian fighter Andrade, in the latest blow to the fight card.

First, Khabib Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw from his hotly-anticipated matchup against Tony Ferguson, and then there was compliaction over where the event would take place.

Finally, White confirmed that he had found a venue to host the restructured fight card, now featuring Ferguson vs Justin Gaethje as its main event.

However, the UFC head honcho has still not confirmed to fans where that will be, despite claiming he had secured a private island to hold events in the future.

The latest setback for the organisation came as Namajunas pulled out, leaving organisers with less than ten days to find a replacement.

It is likely that the heavyweight matchup between Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik will be moved into the co-main event slot.

The UFC is, reportedly, trying to find a replacement for Andrade to face off against at the unspecified arena.

White has remained coy on where the fight card will actually take place, and explained that he doesn’t want anyone to know until the last minute.

“Because there’s a lot of creepy people out there,” he replied when asked why he’s keeping the venue a secret.

“‘When they find out the location, they start attacking the location, making phone calls.
