Beatrice’s wedding bouquet also featured a sprig of myrtle, following in the footsteps of royal brides before her.

Princess Diana, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton all included the plant as part of their bouquets as they walked down the aisle.

Myrtle is a glossy plant, which is said to bring luck and fidelity.

And the myrtle used in royal bouquets comes from the royal residence of Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, which was known to be Queen Victoria’s main residence.
