Piers Morgan, 55, is well known for presenting This Morning alongside co-host Susanna Reid. He has a lengthy career in the journalism industry and his career began in Fleet Street as a writer. How much money has he earned?

Piers then joined the Daily Mirror as editor in 1996 and worked there for many years before taking over as owner of the Press Gazette in 2005.

The journalist added to his wealth when he gained part ownership of Press Gazette in a deal said to be worth £1million.

As well as his career being a journalist, he also became well known for his television shows including Piers Morgan Life Stories and Serial Killer with Piers Morgan.

He had his first role as a television presenter hosting a three part documentary, The Importance of Being Famous, in 2003 and continued to build his fortune by becoming well known in America for being a judge on America’s Got Talent for two years.

Morgan owns a number of homes including two in Britain, a townhouse in west London and a country retreat in the East Sussex village of Newick, which is where he grew up.

Morgan also owns a home in Beverly Hills that he paid £5million for in 2011.

In 2017, the broadcaster responded to the BBC rich list by revealing his own salary.

The tweet read: “Thing is though, for all this chat and judgement who would just openly tweet their salary right now? Go on, I dare you.”

Piers replied: “£22,500,000.”

The journalist continues to add to his fortune by writing columns and presenting TV shows.
