Manchester United star Harry Maguire netted a late winner to book the Red Devils’ place in the FA Cup semi-final draw. United fan out 2-1 winners at Carrow Road. Odion Ighalo opened the scoring after 51 minutes before Todd Cantwell equalised midway through the second half.
United struggled to break down Norwich, however, their task became easier when Timm Klose was sent off in the 89th minute for pulling back Ighalo while he was last man.
The Red Devils had an extra man for all of extra time and Maguire netted the crucial goal in the 118th minute to book United’s place in the FA Cup semi-final draw.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hailed the impact of Ighalo after their late win at Carrow Road.
He said: “It it cup football for you, the game was not the greatest spectacle but I felt we kept the ball OK but did not threaten or create chances.
“Delighted to be in the last four and got a good workout for many of the players. Nice for Harry Maguire to get the winner.
“Many of these players did not play the last game and now have 90 or 120 minutes in their legs. We have been drawn away every round so have done well to get so far.
