Camilla Parker Bowles has been returning to her royal duties in recent weeks as the lockdown is eased in the UK. The Duchess of Cornwall, who turns 73 on Friday, was flying solo on Wednesday as she appeared without her husband Prince Charles for a special event. Camilla visited the Royal Hospital Chelsea to review Chelsea Pensioners on parade and deliver a heartfelt speech.

Camilla wore a show-stopping outfit for the occasion, looking pristine in an elegant white coat dress with embossed details and matching gloves.

The Duchess paired the flattering outfit with a cream Launer clutch bag and neutral court shoes, with contrasting heels and toes.

The stylish heels perfectly coordinated with her large straw summer hat.

Camilla kept her jewellery simple for the occasion, with pearl drop earrings and a single silver brooch on show, though she was also wearing a thin silver necklace that was tucked away.

The post included photos and videos from the day as Camilla greeted the veterans.

Her top-to-toe neutrals were praised by royal fans as they shared their love of the outfit on the Instagram post.

“The Duchess looks lovely!” one posted, with someone replying in agreement with “So cute and beautiful”.

“Beautiful graceful lady. Charming and personable to others,” said another royal follower.

Others were keen to point out her summer hat, noting that Camilla always looks good in the accessory and calling her a “classy lady”.

Eagle-eyed fashion fans even spotted that the stylish Duchess was holding a Launer clutch bag.

The designer bags sell for over £1,000, and the brand has had a Royal Warrant since 1968.

The honour was awarded to the brand by the Queen, who regularly carries a handbag with its recognisable signature structured shape.

Camilla gave a speech at the special event to pay tribute to the Chelsea Pensioners who had lost their lives during the pandemic.

Camilla said: “I know that you have been through a particularly tough time of late, having lost 10 Pensioners to Covid-19.

“I should like to express my heartfelt sympathy to the families of those who have died, and to each of you as you go through the painful process of adjusting to the gap left by those much-loved friends.”

She went on to commend the armed forces for their efforts in recent months.
