Melania Trump, 50, started her career as a model in New York City and has always been known for her expensive taste. Since entering The White House as First Lady alongside her husband, Melania has been pictured re-wearing certain outfits. Lalla Bronshtein, celebrity stylist & founder of eco-friendly label LallaxRR has shared with Express.co.uk why it is important for The First Lady to re-wear clothing.

Rewearing clothing isn’t something that people in the limelight tend to do, with celebrities wearing new outfits on every occasion.

With sustainability being on the forefront of many people’s minds, wearing an outfit twice may be important for Melania as it sends an important message to the public.

Lalla explained: “Style wise, First Lady Melania Trump is known for her custom dresses, and expertly tailored skirt suits made by the best designers.

“Now Melania has decided she needs to follow the example set out by the likes of famous recycling royal Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

The stylist added: “Melania was recently seen wearing a fitted white Michael Kors dress with gold buttons at the waist, in a photo posted to Instagram.

“But we’ve previously seen Melania in this frock before, worn for Trump’s president’s victory speech in New York City.”

Melania has re-worn designer brand Michael Kors on several occasions.

She frequently wears her Michael Kors black and white gingham coat, which costs £274, not the most expensive coat she has been seen in.

However it does tend to be the more high-end brands that she does re-wear, like Michael Kors, Max Mara and her beloved Christian Louboutin heels.

Lalla went on: “After he won the Indiana primary election, this is one of the first time’s that Melania had been photographed in the same dress more than once.”

The stylist said that Melania re-wearing clothing sends out a “great message” to the public.

She said: “First Lady Melania Trump’s wardrobe has been the subject of endless media coverage.

“So by Melania re-wearing clothing it sends a great message to the public of the importance of recycling your clothing.

“Hopefully we will see Melania re-wearing more clothing as it’s not only great for the planet but it’s bang on trend too!”

Melania’s stepdaughter, Ivanka Trump is also known for recycling outfits.

For once of her recent campaign visits in North Carolina, the President’s daughter re-wore a Burberry mini skirt.

The Burberry number costs a whopping £800 and she first wore it on a visit to London last year.

When recycling outfits, both of the Trump women tend to rewear more expensive, designer pieces.
