Can hairdressers open during the second lockdown?
Hairdressers and beauty salons are not classed as ‘essential’ businesses in the Government lockdown guidance.
Therefore, hairdressers and barbers will have to close from Thursday, November 5, 2020.
In the Government lockdown guidance, it outlines which businesses will have to close for the four-week lockdown.
Included in the business closures are: “Personal care facilities such as hair, beauty and nail salons, tattoo parlours, spas, massage parlours, body and skin piercing services, non-medical acupuncture, and tanning salons.”
